Red-vented Bulbul

 The red vented bulbul is a member of bulbul family It has a brown is brown with some scaly patterns and a darker head .It is called a red vented because its vent is red .It lives in dry scrub, open forest and cultivated lands.It feeds on fruits, petals, insects etc. The red vented bulbuls build their nests in a height above the ground . The nest look like a small cup.They built their nests with small twigs or metal wires.
In culture they are well known in kala bulbul(black bulbul),bulbuli, etc.Earlier, they are kept as cage pets.In hajo,Assam,India it is kept for fighting .They were held on the finger with a thread attached and when they fought they seize the red feathers  of their opponent and people enjoy it.
